Can Exercise Snacks Save Us All?

Can Exercise Snacks Save Us All?

We live in the age of busyness to the extreme. Even when our jobs are mostly covered by AI, we are still getting busier.

All day long we are jumping between work tasks and entertaining ourselves. But all that "jumping" we are doing sitting in front of monitors and phones.

And sitting is literally killing us (proof: The Lancet, 2016).

Our postures look awful on photos. Our muscles are getting weaker and weaker day by day.

Even me, who has 5-6 pretty intense training sessions during the week - still feel stiffness and rust in my joints. My posture is killing me. And in my 40s I can't easily stand straight as I could do in my 30s and 20s.

And I thought that's inevitable. It's a payment I have to pay. No way around.

I just can't spend another hour or two fixing my posture and restoring my mobility. I just can't afford it. I have a family and a bunch of obligations. I can't give up on futsal or my HIIT trainings.

So, it felt like dead end.

Exercise snacks to the rescue

Until I found the exercise snacks concept.

What's an exercise snack? It's basically a tiny burst of movement — 1 to 5 minutes — that you squeeze between your regular activities. A few squats while your coffee brews, some push-ups before lunch, a set of jumping jacks between meetings. Something that gets your heart pumping and your breathing heavy. Nothing fancy, no equipment, no gym. Just small doses of effort spread throughout the day.

And honestly, at first I thought it's just another bullsh*t concept to sell something. But then I tried it myself. I've been doing snacking 1-2 times a day, splitting my sitting. And to be honest, I wasn't very consistent doing it. But even so, I still felt better, less rusty at futsal games those evenings. I needed less time to warm up and stretch during pre-game practice.

And then I wondered: "Can I scale this to something bigger?". And here we go. This site is a result of my experiments with the exercise snacks concept. How far can I go with it?
